Boo Bakery Trail Tour 2026
a hauntingly good time
More than 20 cottage bakers in Northwest Ohio are teaming up for a good cause. Support local businesses, help a local family, and explore this fall.

What is it?
The Boo Bakery Trail Tour is a collective effort from 21 local cottage and home bakers. The goal is to raise money for a local family, get people outside, and to promote small, local, woman-owned businesses. And have a little fun along the way.
How it works
The tour runs Oct. 1 through Oct. 31.
When you make your first stand visit, pick up a passport and make sure you keep it with you all month long. Each passport lists all participating stands and has a spot for you to collect stickers or stamps from each stand. If you visit at least 10 stands throughout the month, turn in your passport at any of the participating stands and you'll be entered to win a grand prize basket. Each stand visit beyond 10 is an extra entry.
Because it's spooky season, each stand will decorate for Halloween/the fall season. If you like how the stand is decorated, throw some change (or $1 billion, whatever) into the jar. It's your way to contribute to the fundraising and to also say, "Hey, I like the effort you put in here."
All of that money will be donated to a local family as they navigate a difficult time. Plus, whichever stand collects the most money will be crowned the Boo Bakery Champion.

Meet Gracie
Gracie is a funny, smart, and kind 7-year-old girl. This fall, she will undergo open-heart surgery to remove a nodule which is blocking blood flow to her aortic valve.
Gracie has lived with heart issues for her entire life. She was born with a heart murmur and with so many holes in this vital organ that doctors said it looked like Swiss cheese. While the holes have closed, Gracie has remained under the care and supervision of cardiologists who found the blockage earlier this year.
Gracie's mom said the cardiac case is considered "moderate to severe" and the surgery is necessary to prevent further damage.
Gracie understands this is a scary but necessary operation. She's doing her best to be brave.
This has been a difficult year for Gracie and her family. In February, her dad, Keith, underwent his own open-heart surgery.

Ways to help

If you want to help Gracie and her family you can:

3. Spread the word about the bakery tour
4. Create and share social media content related to the Boo Bakery Trail Tour

The Grand Prize
If you visit at least 10 bakery stands, turn in your passport by the end of October for a chance to win the grand prize. Each visit beyond 10 stands earns you a bonus entry.
No purchase is necessary to participate. The prize basket will be jam packed with cozy fall accessories, home wares, baked goods, gift certificates, and other favorite items from other small, Toledo-area businesses.
The winner will be contacted by organizers of the Boo Bakery Trail Tour.
Thank you!
The Boo Bakery Trail Tour can't happen without all of the participating bakery owners.
